At the core of strong classroom management is how we, as educators, manage ourselves. In this class, participants learn strategies, based on observations and field-testing in more than 50,000 classrooms, that allow them to strengthen relationships, increase equity, reduce frustration, and foster independence in the classroom.

Learn key strategies for keeping more students in the room more of the time. There are times when students have needs or behaviors that make it tricky to keep them in the general education setting, while keeping them and the rest of the class focused on learning.

This workshop will guide you through the characteristics of high-quality assessments, the process of aligning assessments to learning targets and/or standards and how to score targets against proficiency scales. Apply what you learn and create your own high-quality assessment(s) on the spot with instructor guidance.

Helpers are often deeply affected by their work, especially critical incidents that can cause unusually strong emotional reactions. It is very common for staff to experience emotional aftershocks (or stress reactions) when they have experienced a difficult event — immediately after the traumatic event, or hours or days later. The signs and symptoms may last a few days to several months or more. This training focuses on normalizing and understanding such reactions to improve the ability to manage them and know if/when to reach out for more help. This course will walk through the steps of a Critical Incident Debriefing as endorsed by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.

The Equity Advocates Leadership Cohort helps educators address biases and inequities at their roots. This on-demand course will define formative assessment and explore the benefits of utilization. Participants will learn about various formative assessment techniques for both virtual and in-person learning, and will leave the session ready to implement and achieve some formative assessment quick wins.

The first part of this course is designed for newer officers wanting to learn about foundational policing as well as experienced officers wanting to hone their skills. Participants will examine the criminal court process including sentencing, police report writing skills, and keys to successful courtroom testimony. The second part of the course is all about you. Heath and wellness is important to your work and home life. Participants will learn how burnout and trauma can lead to a host of serious issues and learn tools you can use to help you.

This course will examine the different types of interviews and how officers should approach each unique situation with a plan. Participants will hone their interview and interrogation skills and learn new approaches that will lead to more confessions. This course will provide real examples of successful interviews and interrogations. Participants will engage with each other while interviewing victims and interrogating suspects.

In this professional development session, educators will explore educational technology through hands-on learning specific to the grade level of students they serve. . Educators will have opportunity to discuss and design learning opportunities that leverage educational technology available through the Tech Mobile program and replace programming requests for the 2022-23 school year.

This webinar identifies elements of differentiation and explores differentiation strategies such as questioning, grouping, and choice. Use these strategies to meet both support and challenge needs of your diverse students.

Led by a mental health professional and educator, this webinar covers key facts about children's mental health, early warning signs of mental health disorders, and signs and symptoms of childhood suicide. Discussion includes strategies for how to respond and how to access help for students.
